I start the show talking about the Patreon Game from last night and Mal Embarkment or Dis-embarkment syndrome. I literally left after recording the intro to pick Elle up from the airport. She joined me for “Table Talk” where we discuss the Sahara closing their poker room, and a study by BetMGM about online casino games. It looks like we may be making a trip next year to the Irish Poker Open, and we talked about what may be my new playground with Bally’s building a hotel/casino connected to the new A’s stadium in Vegas. ***Disclaimer*** I said I was going to root for the Yankees in the World Series, but actually I think I’m just going to root for the whole series end in a tie somehow. This week’s “Call the Floor” involves a high hand promotion and whether the winner of the high hand actually made the call or not. Our “HOTW” is a crazy one when we flop a full house with the Big Blind special. On “Table Talk” Elle and I get into Betting on politics, the political battle over a casino in Illinois, getting ready for the cruise, and the disaster relief happening around us. On this Week’s “Call the Floor” Elliott talks rules on a situation where the river was put out before the last player acted. Our “HOTW” this week has Patrick and I playing pocket K’s from the button. Elle gives the history of Bourbon Heritage Month, and talks jigsaw puzzle competitions. We also learned that there is a 45 minute flight in Las Vegas equipped to help you join the Mile High Club. On the “Call the Floor” segment a situation comes up where the dealer spreads the deck into or onto the muck and Elliott talks about his ruling there, but also about dealer training. Our “HOTW” has us coming into the SB position but buying the blinds, and facing a big raise pre-flop with QJ off suit. I end the show with “Joe’s One Outer” talking about patience. This week I start the show with an idea for a story in the next issue of the magazine. Elle and I talk Patreon, Hustler Live being suspended on YouTube, and the Charity game we played in on “Table Talk”. Elliott rules on a stinky player at the table in “Call the Floor”. Patrick and I break down a hand with a button straddle during the “HOTW” segment. Spoiler alert… we don’t like button straddles. I end the show with “Joe’s One Outer” talking about trust.
