From Commercial Set to Criminal Minds – The Day Everything Changed

I’ll never forget the day I was filming a commercial when I got the unexpected call: Come audition for Criminal Minds. I walked in, met the entire team, and somehow—maybe it was the nerves or just me being me—I had everyone in the room laughing.

That moment turned into something much bigger than I could’ve imagined.

They offered me a role that day—Agent Brandon Rush. That name didn’t just make it onto the call sheet. It became a turning point in my career.

The opportunity to work on a show as iconic as Criminal Minds was a blessing. Jim Clemente, Janine Sherman Barrois —two incredible forces behind the scenes—gave me a shot, believed in me, and even wrote that part specifically for me. That still blows my mind.

Since then, I’ve had the honor of returning to the show multiple times. Every time I step on that set, it feels like coming home. I’m proud to be an alum of a show that’s impacted so many lives—and grateful to the people who made it possible.
