If you need proof that Jenny Han & Taylor Swift are in kahoots with each other, this episode will only break the surface. If you have been with us for a while, you know that we live for Jenny Han & The Summer I Turned Pretty on this podcast; but, we are taking these episodes back to our PK & LJ era. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. These books are a trilogy set that were turned into Netflix movies in 2018 (yes we will be covering all 3 on this podcast). It’s a fun, light hearted, contemporary romance but also includes side plots of family and loved ones. It’s also an amazing fake dating read for all of our Jenny Han girlies.  

We added this book to the Lover era so we could talk about the parallels of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before & All of the Girls You Loved Before. While we are so incredibly happy that Lover was the first album to be fully owned by Taylor Swift, but we would die for the Lover (from the vault) tracks. We got a glimpse into what these tracks would be like with the Lover “more chapter.” So in the second half of this episode, we want to talk about one of our favorites from this EP and how it’s a song we dedicate to Laura Jean & Peter Kavisnky.
