Jars of pickles, victims of last year's canning efforts, now science experiments huddled together in dark corners. It was enough to make any self respecting field mouse pack up its thin things and leave. Well, unless I smashed a couple of stale Hostess cupcakes flat and tried to pass them off as gourmet pancakes at Christmas, I'd have to go to the store. Some people enjoy trips to the supermarket."
