Carissa Turpin was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky and has spent most of her life in and around that area, though she lived in Phoenix, Arizona for three years. She currently lives in Louisville, Kentucky where she teaches fifth and seventh-grade language arts. She's a dog mom, a book hoarder, and a total fangirl.
