Over the last few months, assisted dying has been a hot topic of conversation in the UK news media. The ethics and practicalities have been extensively debated. Kevin Yuill is emeritus professor of history at the University of Sunderland and CEO of Humanists Against Assisted Suicide and Euthanasia (HAASE).
