Demolition of several shrines, attacks on mosques and madrasas, economic boycotts of Muslim shopkeepers as well as the mass exodus of Muslim residents. All of these are systemic efforts at converting and cementing Uttarakhand as India’s Devbhoomi, imagined as an exclusive, 'Hindu-only' land.
