Why? Because they know that's how to keep a business alive.  This allows them to market their products and services as well as gain more knowledge on their people to creative New stuff/services for them.   So, why do so few brands not collect info? Or why do they not get the right stuff? Mostly because they aren't aware but for the ones that do know and do nothing about it; they are thinking about it wrong. They think they are being too nosey/intrusive. It's actually MORE helpful to know more about your people. Help them get what they want, faster.
