Patrick Durkin returns as a guest to talk with Greg about how nesting boxes can benefit more than the animal it is intended for. They discuss how building nesting boxes, and maintaining and caring for them is an excellent way for people to be active in the outdoors in a way other than hunting and fishing. Birding is a year-round activity and putting up nesting boxes can attract species of animals (birds and bats) that could prey on bothersome insects and rodents that can carry disease. Along the way, Greg and Patrick share observations of birds, mammals, and insects they have over the years.
