Are we getting toxic messages from speculative fiction about what it means to be alone? We're tackling troubling tropes and eviscerating myths about where loneliness comes from. Later in the episode, we're joined by Peter Pomerantsev, a researcher who studies authoritarianism and propaganda. He’s the author of How to Win an Information War, and he offers us some tantalizing ideas about how to defeat fascist propaganda.

Blackburn Publisher: Kenzer and Company Cover Price: $12.99 It primarily focuses on a group of role playing gamers and their actions at the gaming table, which often result in unfortunate, but humorous consequences in the game. The name is a parody of King Arthur's Round Table reinforced by the truism that roleplaying aficionados often end up sitting round their host's dinner table as it is the only one large enough to accommodate the party (4 to 8 people typically). INTERVIEW: You know Ron Marz. We know Ron Marz. So what's Ron Marz talking about for his fourth appearance on this podcast? Oh, just a little mini-series called Silver Surfer Rebirth: Legacy! That's right, the Rebirth Trilogy concludes with another cosmic tale by Rons Marz and Lim, this time focusing on Legacy (Genis-Vell), son of the original Captain Marvel. While Ron Lim couldn't make this session, Marz certainly holds his own, answering all of our intrusive questions about Legacy, the new story, how it fits in with the previous series, and why the writer could care less about Nega Bands or Quantum Bands. It's a rollicking good time as always, so strap in and take a listen, Banditos! You can find Ron Marz on all the usual socials by searching for his name._____________________Dollar Bin Bandits is the official podcast of TwoMorrows Publishing. This release was a subscriber/Patreon-exclusive book review, but Mike has now released it for everyone! it showcases the first canon book review in a while and Mike reviews two; Thrawn and Thrawn: Alliances, from Timothy Zahn's first canon Thrawn trilogy! Mike talks about his experience listening to the audiobook for Thrawn in comparison to reading the comic book adaptation (as seen on ep 38 of Star Wars: Comics In Canon), before delving into the "main event"; Thrawn: Alliances. Mike gives his thoughts on the books as well as providing a plot overview for each. Please note, this was not recorded in Mike's studio, so the quality is slightly worse than normal episodes of SWCIC and was originally released on Mike's Patreon! Let us know what you think! Have you read these books? How do they compare to the Legends Thrawn novels?
