This week, to celebrate the release of Luca Guadagnino's Challengers, Paul and Amy break down the 2018 film, Call Me By Your Name, starring Timothée Chalamet (sorry, no Zendaya in this one). The two talk about the beauty of the film's title, Guadagnino’s obsessive messiness, and the delicate CGI’ing of a certain actor's nether region. Plus, this movie has us all nostalgic over our first loves and our first heartbreaks. Next week, Paul and Amy take a look at the 1991 film, Point Break, in honor of The Fall Guy release. Randy Newman was still winless in the Original Song Oscar category after seven losses, and his song "If I Didn't Have You" for the Pixar movie Monsters, Inc. was going to put him in rare company if it didn't nab him the Oscar. The song didn't get much recognition before the Academy Awards, so Newman was looking like song nomination number eight was not going to turn into a win. Check out his competition on this episode, as well as the two songs with "dream" in the title that missed out on an Oscar nomination.

Now this is Humanoids from the Deep (1980) a film directed by Barbara Peeters and Jimmy T Murakami and produced by Roger Corman.  Yet another infamous movie to make it onto the UK’s video nasties list, ah the good old days, when people who were desperate to be offended could decide what you could or couldn't watch. This is yet another film that highlights the animal kingdoms general poor form.  Tony and Adam take their horror journey to the depths of the ocean where they encounter mutated creatures high on chemicals and out for some action.  This isn’t a documentary, but if it was then it would paint a grim view of our future, enslaved by randy fish dudes.
