October 10, 2024 · 44 min

Join us in Spanish Fork, Utah on October 23-26, 2024 for the Courage to Thrive Intensive! This is an opportunity for betrayed partners to come and experience weeks or months worth of work in just a few days! You will have experiential opportunities on topics such as grief, healthy boundaries, self-love and redefining yourself after betrayal. We will provide opportunities to experience somatic healing to help your physical body find some relief from the stress of trauma. I would love to see you in Utah in person! You can learn more HERE and reach out to Vanessa at Choose Recovery Services at (702) 277-9145 with questions.

In this episode, we are joined by Laura Fisher, MFT-I, BCC, who is a colleague of ours at Choose Recovery Services. She sees individual clients as well as couples. She has many specialized trainings in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), APSATS, Full Therapeutic Disclosures, Deconstructing Gaslighting, Mindfulness Based Addiction and Trauma Treatment and more. You can read all about her and connect with her HERE.

Laura joins us  as we dive deep into how to stay emotionally grounded when betrayal leaves us feeling out of control. We’ll explore what it means to stay within your window of tolerance and why it’s crucial for emotional stability and healing after infidelity. Learn how to identify when you’re being triggered, and understand how these triggers are often a subconscious bid for connection and safety.

We’ll discuss how to regulate your nervous system in those moments when shame surfaces and past hurts resurface, offering practical strategies to help you manage your reactions instead of being overwhelmed by them. Whether you’re struggling to stay present during difficult conversations or finding it hard to manage unexpected emotional waves, this episode provides tools to help you stay steady.
