46. Empowering women to have a voice with Elizabeth Naumovski
April 03, 2024 · 60 min

"I surround myself with incredible women which means I know that I will never fail."

In this riveting conversation, we get a glimpse behind the curtains with the very impressive Elizabeth Naumovski, a multi-award-winning financial literacy & female empowerment advocate.

Elizabeth had dreamt of being on camera since she was a little girl until she was told she'd never make it with her unique surname and that she didn't look like Barbie.

After a 13-year stint in broadcasting ended, she pursued a role in finance even though numbers terrified her.

Seizing an opportunity as a marketing manager, Elizabeth has since enjoyed a successful career as an executive in Bay Street, Toronto, the Canadian equivalent of Wall Street in New York.

Elizabeth's journey is one of resilience, determination, and a whole lot of courage.

Raised on her mother's priceless wisdom "if you don't ask, you don't know" she's relentlessly curious and isn't afraid of asking questions.

Through anecdotes and stories, Elizabeth explains how every challenge is an opportunity for growth and every setback a chance to learn.

She acknowledges the courage it takes to ask for help and the profound impact of women's support of each other.

Tune in and be inspired by Elizabeth's infectious spirit and knack for turning every stumble into a step forward!

And stick around till near the end when Elizabeth shares an ingenious trick for turning those awkward moments when going to an event with strangers into a hilarious selfie moment!

Elizabeth is a regular on camera (as she dreamed she'd be) as the host of a weekly national Canadian TV show, Empowered, and VP of Marketing at Caldwell Securities.

What you'll learn:

How the fear of making the wrong decision holds us back.  Making a gutsy career switch from broadcasting to finance despite her fear of numbers. How mistakes build your future courage. The importance of asking questions and staying curious.  Why asking for help is a sign of strength.  The magic that happens when women support each other. The value of using your voice and being heard your way.  A creative strategy for making mingling with strangers something to look forward to.

** And if you're up for the challenge (you'll have to listen to hear what it is), once done, send a selfie to Elizabeth or me as evidence you did it. ** You're welcome!
