Greetings!! You have found Dogmatically Imperfect. A new series that explores what happens when the reality of our human experience does not match the expectations given by our different religious teachings. Reconciling the difference between our belief system, our reality, and the example of God in the earth is a task that challenges each one of us in our own specific way.
This series will address the question of who is really in good standing with God. We will also look at how differences in dogmatic belief systems actually speak to a greater truth that transcends our individual religious outlook. When we look at the complexity of creation, from the smallest of subatomic particles to the expansion of the infinite cosmos and all that is contained in the cosmos, we must arrive at a conclusion that is actually contrary to modern religious belief systems and more in line with the idea of Paul the Apostle, "we know in part". 1 Cor 13:9-12
This introductory episode is an introduction to the expectations given by an evangelical religious system, specifically related to healing, that did not align with reality and how this irreconcilable difference was the thread leading to a greater understanding of Paul the Apostle and the larger image of God that sprang from his encounter with God and grew over time in his writings. "There is only one God." Rom 3:29, 30.
I invite you to join me on this journey.
Sincerely,
Justin Marson
