A Few Items from the Pod ⤵️Coffee Talk: You’re Doing it Wrong
Chappell Roan spilled some—ahem—tea to Las Culturistas, revealing that she’s joined the growing list of caffeine-free folks (including former guest, Kelley Garrard). We’re both unconvinced we have to ever give up the zoom zoom juice, but we couldn’t be further apart on how we take it in the morning. ☯️
One of us likes her joe the sophisticated way, while the other’s morning routine leans more Mickey D’s milkshake.
The Kristina
* 1 single serve stick of Mounthagen free dried coffee.
* 1 pack of Equal.
* 2 heaping teaspoons of sugar (I like to use a gold spoon to make the ritual fancier).
* 1 generous glug of organic half and half.
* 1 mug of *hot hot hot* water.
The Lizzie
* Black coffee. Ideally from beans roasted by My Friend’s Coffee, poured into 8 oz. mugs by Manzama.
“KDD”: New Research on A.D.H.D. Meds
A New York Times article has been making the rounds in both the media and the A.D.H.D. community—among providers and patients alike. We dove into Kristina’s “KDD” on the pod; here’s what we referenced:
* Have We Been Thinking about A.D.H.D. all wrong? (The New York Times)
* Millions of American kids have an A.D.H.D. diagnosis. Are they being treated effectively? (Fresh Air/NPR)
Shots We ♥️: B12
If you’re feeling low energy, foggy, or generally dragging, a B12 injection might be the gentle nudge your body needs. This essential vitamin supports mood, focus, and metabolism. It's especially helpful for vegetarians and vegans, or those who simply need a reset. Vitamin B12 is water-soluble, which means your body flushes out what it doesn’t need—so overdosing is exceptionally rare. That said, always good to get your levels checked by a doctor first. We love B12 for it’s help with:
* Brain Fog
* Dizziness
* Depression
* Fatigue
* Irritability 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
* Mood Swings
* Sluggish Metabolism
