Ever seen a guy in a shiny suit wave his hands around, scream "HEALED!" and suddenly someone who was totally wheelchair-bound five seconds ago is jumping around like they just won the lottery? Yeah... me too. Welcome to the magical world of faith healing, where the only real miracle is how many people still fall for it. In today's episode, I show you exactly how these modern-day miracle-workers pull off their holy hustle, using good ol' sleight of hand, emotional manipulation, and a whole lot of bad acting. (Seriously, some of these performances wouldn't even make it into a church play.) Then we take a stroll back to the Bible to look at Jesus' "miraculous healings." Spoiler alert: there are zero non-biblical records of any of those healings. Not one. You'd think if a dude was out here curing blindness and raising the dead, someone besides his fan club would've jotted that down, right? Also, quick reminder from a previous episode--Jesus didn't die for your sins. He died because he broke Jewish law and pissed off the wrong people. Blasphemy, heresy, political drama--the works. The Romans just happened to be the ones with the torture device. So maybe stop romanticizing the cross... it's not exactly a heartwarming love story. In this Easter celebration, I dig into the contradictions of the so-called "biblical God" --you know, the one who totally gives you free will, but will also punish you forever if you don't use it the way he likes. We'll also take a moment to honor the cross--not as a sacred symbol, but as the brutal Roman torture device it actually was. Sorry, but Jesus didn't "die for your sins." He died because he was a political and religious nuisance who ran his mouth against the wrong people. Ah yes, the book of Joshua--that charming little section of the Bible where holy genocide is totally fine as long as God allegedly said so. Joshua didn't just conquer a few towns. He massacred entire populations, leveled cities, stole treasure, killed animals (because why not?), and declared it all divinely sanctioned. Pillaging and plundering? That's just another Tuesday in the Promised Land. In this episode, we take a deep (and delightfully sarcastic) dive into one of the most violent chapters in the Bible. Spoiler alert: it's not a how-to manual for peace and love. Joshua was less a prophet and more a bloodthirsty warlord with a divine permission slip. But the real kicker? This conquest ideology still echoes in modern Christianity--where dominance, cultural erasure, and control aren't just side effects, they're the mission. Whether it's rewriting laws or steamrolling over individual rights and beliefs, this cult-like mindset has never really gone away. And no, this isn't about discriminating against Christians--this is about education, critical thinking, and unmasking the violent roots of a belief system that claims moral superiority while erasing others. I say it every time, "Ask the big questions. Do the research. Seek the answers. Only then can you get to the truth."
