Legendary founding member and bass player of Happy Mondays, Paul Ryder, who sadly passed away in July 2022, recorded a tell-all podcast series with his ex-wife, journalist Angela Smith, in the months leading up to his death. The resulting series, The Paul Ryder Tapes - Sex, Drugs, the Mondays and Me is his legacy. Hear the whole truth about the band and his life with no stone unturned - addiction, family feuds, mental breakdowns, infidelity and his son's cancer diagnosis are all discussed in depth, along with some hilarious anecdotes about life as an unconventional rock n roll star. Joining him are some of the people he rubbed shoulders with, such as Paul Oakenfold, Mani from The Stone Roses, Peter Hook, fellow band members Bez, Rowetta, Gaz and Mark and even his mum makes an appearance. Poignant, gripping and massively entertaining. Launching July 15th, available weekly.
