The Mindset: How to Get Comfortable with Being UNCOMFORTABLE

We all have situations where we find ourselves having sweaty palms, butterfly stomachs and anxiety.

The most common situation is Public Speaking.  I have been making presentations for over thirty years. Largely in the wine industry and as the owner of Le Petit Chateau inn, which required a smooth delivery. Furthermore I was a Toastmaster for thirty years in Texas, California, New York, Florida

Here are some quick tips to calm your nerves:

1) It is natural to be anxious and afraid in new situations.  Just don't stay there!

2) People are in awe of others and you whenever you exhibit courage in uncomfortable situations.           This is especially true with public speaking.

3) Get rid of those FILLER words: AH, AND, SO , LIKE

These utterances detract from your message making people less attentive.
