On the latest episode of the Angus to the Fore podcast, we interviewed Stephen Connolly, Sustainability manager with ABP.In this months interview Eoin asks about Stephen’s early days in farming, ABP, Angus genetics, meat eating quality, measuring emissions, grassland management, the ABP demo farm in Carlow, improving dairy beef genetics nationally and much more.We were announced as one of five finalists in the Certified Irish Angus schools competition in April and we will soon be bringing home our five Irish Angus calves and rear them for 18 months alongside our research project.We will receive our calves at the National Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska, Co. Laois this week, 19th - 21st September. Tiktoker and RTÉ presenter Mary-Claire Fitzpatrick will present ownership of the calves on the Wednesday.
