Swaddle yourself as best you can, And let the night’s comfort begin. PAUSE… When was the last time you felt secure, Completely safe, warm, and content? It’s odd that we think we outgrow those things, That we no longer need what they represent. PAUSE… At our core, we’ll always be children, No matter what age we reach. Even if we become parents as well, We continue to learn what we teach. PAUSE… The lessons don’t always come equally, And some you might never learn at all. But others affect your very survival, Protecting you from a fall. PAUSE… First, you deserve to know you’re loved, To know you’re worth the effort. And even if you’re the one caring for you, It’s okay to tend to what hurts. PAUSE… It’s also okay to speak your mind, To get your struggles off your chest. To sleep a calm and restful sleep, Unencumbered by life’s distress. PAUSE… You deserve to feel like you matter. You deserve the chance to thrive. You deserve to know anything’s possible, And you deserve to keep hope alive. PAUSE… Perhaps you have someone to tell you these things, A partner, a sibling, a friend. But even if your life has vacancies, You have a life-force on which to depend.  PAUSE… If you let it, your spirit will care for you, Reminding you what you once knew. Your essence is there to guide you back home, And to point out what will always be true. PAUSE… Your spirit is what keeps you safe, Planting signs along the way. It becomes your lifelong nurturer, If you listen to what it has to say.   Take a breath and hear that voice, the quiet truth within. Breathe out and feel the peace it brings, let it soothe your mind to sleep. LONG PAUSE… Think about how, so long ago, Loving arms might have carried you to bed. They gently lowered you, then tucked you in, Pressing a sweet kiss to your head. PAUSE… Dig deep to remember that feeling, That perfect, carefree moment. Practice conjuring it up, every night, Pull that safe feeling back into your present. PAUSE… Think about other special acts, Rituals of younger days. The perfect pjs, a favorite story, Little jokes and loving displays. PAUSE… Picture the grown-up version of these, Both playful acts and those of self-care. Imagine each evening unfolding that way, Loving habits your young self can share. PAUSE… It’s not silly to want to end the day well, Not childish or selfish or strange. Learning to tuck yourself in for the night, Can only reflect positive change. PAUSE… Perhaps you’ll start to sleep like a baby. Maybe you’ll wake up with a smile. Maybe you’ll start to look forward to bedtime, To the chance to unplug for a while. PAUSE… By now, you know what a challenge it is, To live life as a full-fledged adult. Maybe the reason we all struggle so much, Is our refusal to admit we need help. PAUSE… You might not need the predictable type, More like a boost for the soul. And if childhood routines can help you find joy, Then they certainly have their role. PAUSE… Let your mind wander through your past, Allow it to slip back in time. For a few sweet and lovely minutes, Let those memories shine.   Breathe in as you picture a littler you, capture that hopeful delight. Prepare yourself to go within, Make renewal your goal. PAUSE… Think about the way you speak to yourself, The language you hear in your head. The words are likely different than those you select, When talking to others instead. PAUSE… In life, we talk about love languages, Meaning the way others’ gestures impact us. But in a very real way, the words we use, Create a pattern to which we adjust. PAUSE… If you tend to speak kindly, both inside and out, Then your love language is already in place. But if you’re snappish and dismissive, to yourself if not others, Then it’s time for a change of pace. PAUSE… Think of the words you use most of all, Then think about how they make you feel. Though a harsh word here or there can be harmless, A pattern makes the pain real. PAUSE… It’s no secret we’re usually hard on ourselves, And there are times to be held to account. Tough mental love isn’t the answer though, Especially in generous amounts. PAUSE… Imagine having a secret code, A list of words that buoy your spirit. Using them often might change everything, Making your self-love transparent. PAUSE… Maybe it helps to be reassured that you’re safe. Or that your intentions matter most of all. Perhaps you need to hear that your dreams have value, And you’re worth loving just as you are. PAUSE… Whatever the message, if it makes you okay, Practice saying what you need to hear. The world may agree, or the world may not, But it doesn’t matter if your own belief is sincere.   Take a deep breath and make yourself a promise, vow to be an encouraging voice. Release that breath and feel the weight of that gift, the gift of compassionate choice. LONG PAUSE… Words are not just pebbles to toss around. They’re not just vague placeholders. The way you speak to yourself matters a lot, Turning small stones into great boulders. PAUSE… By contrast, if you begin to cast sunshine, Instead of repeatedly throwing shade, The light you shine on a wounded soul, Can make that grave pain fade. PAUSE… Once you’ve mastered being kind to yourself, You can change things for others as well. The words you send out into the world, Can bring the troubled out of their shell. PAUSE… Just as your own self-talk makes you feel seen, Like your presence is both required and enjoyed, The gentle and caring things you say, Can pull others back from the void. Breathe deep and imagine a vibrant meadow, Just waiting to be explored. PAUSE… Clear your mind and focus on the colors, Bright hues you can both see and feel. Deep green, dazzling purple, luminous yellow, Each one fills you with its radiant power. PAUSE… In your mind, set yourself free, To run across the field. Absorb the pulsing energy Of this thriving, buzzing world. PAUSE… Let yourself be young again, See your body leap and roll. Sink into the dewy blanket of grass, And stare up at the crystal-blue sky. PAUSE… The clouds are just as striking, As every color in this tableau. They move and shift as if tied to your mind, Offering a delightful parade. Watch the clouds and inhale slowly, find joy in their magical dance. Rise up to greet them as you exhale deeply, find peace in their gentle embrace. LONG PAUSE… Now float back down to the grassy earth, Let the scents waiting below envelop you. Wildflowers and soil and sun-soaked leaves, Calm you with their rich aromas. PAUSE… Turn your ear to the sounds all around you, Trilling birds, buzzing bees, rustling leaves. Nature’s orchestra in all its glory, Soothing you to sleep with its song. PAUSE… Spread your hands flat against the grass, Feel the silky blades on your skin. The earth has made a nest for you, A safe place to land and rest. PAUSE… You needn’t worry in this meadow, There’s nothing here to fear. In fact, this place is just for you, A haven tucked away from busy life. PAUSE… Let the buoyancy of this lovely place, Fill your heart with calm. Set your dreams and wishes free, Watch them float and dance on the wind.   Inhale as you picture your fondest wish, taking shape before your eyes. Exhale and see it coming true, feel the lift it gives your heart. LONG PAUSE… This special escape will always be yours, Ready and waiting when you close your eyes. As simple as conjuring the lush green grass, And giving your spirit wings. PAUSE… When days are long and tough to take, It’s there to soothe your troubled soul. And when you’re exhausted and overwhelmed, It stands ready to restore your strength. PAUSE… Magic fills this secluded spot, Enchantment of the very best kind. Made of you, by you, and for you, It blossoms anywhere you choose. PAUSE… Though this meadow is your secret, It’s also your superpower. Go there whenever life weighs you down, And send your troubles away with the breeze. PAUSE… Or perhaps you’re feeling happy, And your heart wants more of that. A spot like this is just the place, For joys to multiply. PAUSE… In time, you may find friends there, Their shape and character yours to define. And if you crave rainbows, or raindrops, or snowflakes, Simply draw them with your mind. PAUSE… What could be more restful, Than a fantasy land of your own. A place where only good things can thrive, Where only beauty greets your eye.   Inhale a soft and easy breath, drink in the grassy peace. Exhale and sink deeper into sleep, feel the gifts growing all around you. LONG PAUSE… Sleep comes easy in this land, Every bit of you at rest. Soft breezes blow all worries away, As distant crickets play lullabies. PAUSE… Better than any bed you’ve known, Softer than any pillow, This meadow is your comfort zone, Its solace for you alone. PAUSE… Feel relaxation come for you, Feel it settle beneath your skin. Breathe easily under its protective weight, Wrapped in true serenity. It’s time to let your body rest, And tend to your weary mind. PAUSE… You’ve done a lot of work today, Both mental and physical. You’ve earned some relaxation time, A chance to unplug and recharge. PAUSE… Use this time to slow everything down, Your thoughts, your pulse, your cares. There’s nothing more important right now, Than finding the respite you need. PAUSE… So often, our days spool out of control, Tossing dozens of problems our way. The night is meant to reverse all of that, To give us some space to breathe. PAUSE… Our breath is an effective place to begin, For it affects all the rest. With eyes closed, inhale gently and with purpose, Let the moment grow and stretch. PAUSE… When you’re ready to let that breath go, Slowly exhale and feel the release. Notice how your muscles follow that lead, Softening and settling in for the night. PAUSE… You nestled in the safest possible place, One that belongs to you alone. Full of familiar scents and downy fabrics, Comfort is the only goal. Take a moment to enjoy the calm you’ve created, remind yourself how much you deserve it. Revel in the weightless feel of your body, in the serene openness of your mind. LONG PAUSE… Now that you’ve cleared out troubling thoughts, Do your best to keep it that way. Imagine an impenetrable boundary, A wall to separate you from the day. PAUSE… It’s so important to your wellbeing That you regularly disengage. Each day is so full and chaotic, Leaving little time to focus on you. PAUSE… But if you create a ritual, A predictable, enriching routine. Your days will feel less frantic as well, And you’ll look forward to powering down. PAUSE… Focus your attention on your quiet mind, Enjoy the tranquility you find there. Let the stillness lift you up, Let it take you to a higher place. PAUSE… In this place, anything is possible. In this place, all of your plans make sense. In this place, you become your very best self, As you work to plant the seeds of change. PAUSE… Instead of thinking, feel your way through, Determine whatever you wish for yourself. Detach from whatever your brain might say, And be mindful of your heart instead. PAUSE… Like your soul, your heart won’t fail you, As long as you pay attention. It wants what it wants, and it’s rarely wrong, So tune in and listen to its wisdom. PAUSE… These evening hours are the very best time To practice speaking your heart’s language. The messages appear in different ways, Sharing feelings instead of words.   Breathe into the powerful silence of self, feel the awe that comes with tuning in. Exhale and realize how connected you are, remind yourself you’re never alone. LONG PAUSE… In this warm, relaxing environment, You have the chance to transform. Once you learn to tune out the daily noise, Your truth will make itself known.  PAUSE… Whatever you’ve been wondering about, Whatever questions plague you in the day, Can be redefined and answered here, As long as you maintain the space. PAUSE… Waking logic is usually ineffective. Your inner retreat has a mind of its own. But once you learn the rules of the road, There are no limits to what you can see. PAUSE… As you fall deeper into dreamland, Let your imagination do what it will. Let it show you the life you truly want, Let it chart a course to reality. LONG PAUSE And with each cleansing breath, allow the air to  spread through your body, relaxing and  focusing your attention on you. LONG PAUSE While continuing to relax, give yourself permission to let beautiful, magical dreams come to you. LONG PAUSE Now, imagine your room with the blinds or drapes closed, and with a little pinpoint of light peeking through. PAUSE The light fascinates you, so you go to the window  to explore it. PAUSE As you open the blinds, imagine being gently swept into a dream where you stand above a mountain landscape. PAUSE The mountain is laced  with emerald green terraces, cut into the mountainside. They look like wide, green steps in a staircase. PAUSE Gently, you descend on  one of the terraces and realize you’ve landed in a rice paddy  at harvest time. PAUSE Rice grows on each terrace, and men and women with bronze skin, wide-brimmed straw hats and focused expressions harvest the rice. PAUSE The men and women speak In a language like music that you just naturally understand.  PAUSE As you draw closer, a woman looks up at you and bids you to come watch her as she works. PAUSE You comfortably bend over  and observe how she  harvests the rice with intention. Her curved knife smoothly glides through the plant as it separates the golden grains from the main stalk.   PAUSE You run your fingers over the stalks and are surprised  by the coarseness of the grain. PAUSE The woman then takes you to large flat rock  with tubes of bamboo fastened on top;  she hands you some  stalks of rice. PAUSE Together, you thresh the  rice stalks against the bamboo and watch as the rice grains separate and sprinkle  like a shower of golden rain.   PAUSE The woman gathers up the grains in a basket, and turns to look at you. The soft expression and hint of sadness in her eyes tell you it’s time for you to go. PAUSE You fold your hands, bow and thank the woman before being magically transported  back to your room. PAUSE You pause and take a breath, making way for the next dream. PAUSE  Again, a tiny light creeps through the blinds, calling you to come see the wonders behind it. PAUSE As you’re pulled into the dream, you find yourself in a  lush, tropical world  with a majestic volcano in the distance. PAUSE You marvel at the volcano  as it spews  a small amount of steam like a locomotive coming to a stop.   PAUSE Then, a river of lava  courses down the  side of the mountain with mesmerizing hues of orange, red and yellow dancing as they descend. PAUSE The air hangs heavy with  the smell of sulfur and salt while molten lava  shimmers and glows, blazing a trail of change down the mountain. PAUSE While watching the distant volcano, nearby, you notice a man  with wireframe glasses kneeling down and  grasping a handful of  black, moist dirt. PAUSE He lifts his glasses  and inspects the dirt carefully,  and as he does, a wave of understanding washes over you. The word chakra is a sanskrit word meaning “wheel” or “disk”.  These energy centers are points of intersection where the mind and body meet.  Each chakra holds vital information for well being and healing.  When a chakra is blocked or closed it may cause physical, emotional or spiritual distress.  As I guide you into this healing environment I will work on creating balance and support.  To best experience this energy treatment…..lie down and be comfortable. Lets invoke….I call forth your spirit…spirit guides…Angels…masters and guardians to surround you at this time. Working with the energy of consciousness to aid you in understanding, information and thought.…..and so it is….and so be it….. Close down your eyes….feel your body descend… deeper… and deeper to the surface you're lying on.  You are about to go on a journey…..a journey of self discovery and a personal quest….. The crown chakra located at the top of your head…..the place of all knowing, connected to something bigger and greater, consciousness, God, universe ….….PAUSE Feel a gentle wave of relaxation sweeping over your entire body…..PAUSE Start to focus on your crown.. the top of your head…..PAUSE Experience white bright light here…… Place all of your focus here…..and create a golden cord that connects your crown to the higher realms…..PAUSE This light is warming and healing……. Feel as if a spotlight is shining down……warming your hair and crown…..LONG PAUSE Now imagine this light above you begins to move like a top……….a slow speed….. Keep breathing…. in and…out…in and out…..PAUSE It connects you to source……..you feel safe, supported and not alone….. Everything is connected……you are part of unlimited dimensions………LONG PAUSE The light above you begins to move faster and faster now………. Keep breathing in and out….in and……out……. This light grows bigger and bigger………..PAUSE It comes closer to your crown as a small opening is created…….. Like a waterfall……..waterfall of light…. it enters…….the portal at the top of your head…..PAUSE It is opening…… allowing access for your body to reconnect with Spirit…..  The feeling of Spirit is showering the top of your head with love…… You can see and feel your crown chakra free……and spinning with passionate white light…. Take a big breath in……PAUSE As you do this… imagine you are pulling the energy down from the heavens down through the crown of your head……PAUSE  This light travels throughout your entire body……gently illuminating all the other chakras…. Giving them energy to be activated….one by one…….. Feel it travel to the third eye……..throat……..heart…….belly……hips…….tailbone…..and down to your feet and toes……….PAUSE White glorious waves of light continue to stream……. Your physical, mental and spiritual body is awakened…… Awakened to this universal life force energy………. LONG PAUSE Allow the stillness to slowly unfold as you become aware of your body. LONG PAUSE Take a deep breath and notice the peace and contentment that follows the stillness. LONG PAUSE As you continue to breath, observe an openness in your body, as if it feels almost weightless.  LONG PAUSE Now, as you relax,   notice a ball of golden light, brilliant, luminescent, taking shape just below your feet. PAUSE The ball glows and shimmers with a captivating amber light highlighted with hues of  orange and red. PAUSE The ball seems  to spin in space and to radiate rays of light as it turns, rays that burst forth like the sun. PAUSE The golden ball  moves closer to your feet, enveloping them  in a warm, healing light. PAUSE And the ball spins  and emits  tendrils of light– of pure healing– that touch every part  of your feet and ankles. PAUSE After a moment,   your feet tingle, as the golden light circulates even more  healing energy  through them. PAUSE You draw in a deep breath, and allow the ball of light to drift to your calves, where its soothing warmth penetrates the muscles. PAUSE The comforting heat of the ball rolls up to your knees and thighs, relaxing them. PAUSE The globe of light sinks into your upper legs healing and restoring at the cellular level. PAUSE As you inhale again, the radiant globe spreads its aura around your hips and lower back. PAUSE You feel your hips release and your lower back ease, melting deeply into the cushiony softness of your bed. PAUSE You pause for a moment, letting the serene warmth flow through you, relaxing you fully and completely. PAUSE Then, the healing ball  moves again, and as the warmth expands to your torso, your body feels soothed and calmed. PAUSE You breathe in again and exhale, while the healing orb stations at your back, generating waves of relaxing heat through your back and shoulders. PAUSE The sun-like sphere pauses at your heart chakra absorbing any emotional pain with every beat of your heart. PAUSE As the healing ball rotates its energy through your chest and upper back, there’s a physical letting go of stressed muscles  and strained memories. PAUSE The ball of energy rises to your neck and throat, softening the tension and freeing all the unspoken words your voice held back. PAUSE You pause again, basking in the warmth of the orb as it touches your face and head, warming your cheeks like the sun. PAUSE The healing ball gently exits through  the top of your head and stops for just a minute above you. PAUSE Its heated spin slows, and the rays of light dim until the healing ball dissolves in the air. PAUSE And when it’s gone, you take a moment and indulge in the  incredible relaxation, the incredible peace you feel throughout your body. PAUSE And after a moment, gratitude blossoms within you– a deep appreciation for all the healing, and magic, of the radiant orb– until its next visit.
