This is a guided meditation to give gratitude for our teachers.Without our teachers, we might feel lost. We might not have the success, the clarity, the guidance that we do. Especially in the yoga and meditation tradition, so much is passed down directly from teacher to student — generation after generation. Without the teacher-student relationship, these teachings would simply be lost. This practice is inspired by Guru Purnima, the full moon that honors our gurus — the ones who bring light where there is darkness. But this meditation can be done any time. Guru means “remover of darkness,” and Purnima means full moon. In the Vedic tradition, Jyotisha — the science of light — is at the heart of this. So today, we reflect on those who have brought light into our lives. You’ll be guided to:– Find a comfortable position and settle into your breath– Bring to mind one teacher who’s been influential in your life– Reflect on a moment, a feeling, or a presence they offered you– Silently express gratitude for them — even as if you’re speaking to them directly– Continue through a timeline of teachers, mentors, guides — anyone who helped you see more clearly– Then shift to the people you’ve helped — students, clients, friends — and give thanks for the opportunity to be of service– And finally, you’ll thank yourself — for showing up, for listening, for being your own inner guideThis is a gentle, healing, heart-centered practice. It’s not about what your teachers said or did, but how they made you feel. Take this time to honor that.Even if you only have a few minutes, this meditation can reconnect you to the lineage of wisdom you’re a part of — and bring peace to your heart.🙏 5 Key Quotes from the Episode:“Without our teachers, we might be lost.”“Guru means the one who brings light where there is darkness.”“These teachings would be lost without the teacher relationship.”“Think of a timeline from your earliest teachers to today — and say thank you.”“Thank yourself for being your own guide.”Whether you listen on Guru Purnima or a regular Tuesday, this is a beautiful practice for realigning to your heart, your lineage, and your light.—Free Vedic Birth Chart & Training: http://www.quietmindastrology.com/freebirthchartInstagram:http://www.instagram.com/quietmindastrologyYouTube:http://www.quietmindastrology.com/youtubeMentorship Waitlist:http://www.quietmindastrology.com/mentorship
Today is the last chance to book a reading for this season at https://www.quietmindastrology.com/readingOn Thursday, July 10th, we experience a Full Moon in Sagittarius, within the Purva-Ashada Nakshatra—one of the most forceful and clarifying lunar mansions in Vedic astrology. This episode explores why this full moon is so emotionally potent, artistically charged, and spiritually clarifying. The full moon always marks culmination, celebration, and emotional illumination—a moment when we can’t ignore what’s rising to the surface. In this case, the light of the full moon shines in Purvashadha, a Venus-ruled nakshatra whose very name means “the undefeated.” It carries the force of water, the fierceness of truth, and the quiet determination of someone like Rosa Parks—a Purvashadha Ascendant—who simply said “no” to injustice and sparked a movement. This nakshatra is symbolized by a winnowing basket, an agricultural tool that separates the wheat from the chaff. That’s what this moon is asking of you:What’s real? What’s noise? What’s ready to be burned away so that your deeper truth can be heard? You’ll also hear:– Why Venus rules this full moon and how to use that to refine what you truly love– What Apas, the water deity, teaches about emotional expression and purification– How to work with the element of force (Ugra)—not aggressively, but creatively and consciously– Why emotional rituals, music, journaling, and literal fire ceremonies are powerful tools this week– A look at inspirational Purvashadha natives like James Hetfield and Trent Reznor, and how they express this burning, purifying energy through musicYou’ll be invited to:– Use the 80/20 principle in your emotional and creative life– Identify what’s draining your energy and what fills your cup– Filter through relationships, projects, and patterns that no longer serve– Consider doing a burn ritual, journaling session, or emotional release practiceTo get your Vedic birth chart and learn how this full moon affects you personally, visit quietmindastrology.com or book a reading with me. It burns through illusion and leaves only what’s real.”3. “Water is soft, but it destroys what isn’t built to last. That’s the power of Apas.”4. “This is a good week to filter what you love from what you’re tolerating.”5. “You don’t have to fight loudly to make a change. Last week to book a 1-1 reading with me for this season at https://www.quietmindastrology.com/readingIt’s July 2025, and we are officially at the midpoint of the year. This is the time to pause, reflect, and realign with your deeper truth and long-term vision. In this episode, I go deep into the energy of the July transits—from Neptune and Saturn turning retrograde in Pisces, to the fiery Full Moon in Sagittarius, to the more grounded shift of Mars into Virgo at the end of the month. This is also a powerful time to get clarity on what’s next for you. We cover all 10 major transits this month, including:July 2: Calendar midpoint of the year—ideal for stillness, journaling, and reflection.July 5: Neptune retrograde begins in Uttara Bhadrapada—spiritual reflection, compassion, or escapism?July 10: Full Moon in Purva Ashadha, Sagittarius—nurturing joy, truth, and adventure.July 13: Saturn retrograde in Pisces—revisiting boundaries, managing fear, and reestablishing practices.July 16: Sun in Cancer—emotional leadership, nurturing, sensitivity, and boundaries.July 18: Mercury retrograde in Cancer—sentimental reflection, emotional conversations, and miscommunication.July 21: Moon exalted in Taurus—emotional nourishment, connection, and resistance to change.July 24: New Moon in Pushya—emotional intention setting, deep healing, and aligning with how you want to feel.July 26: Venus enters Gemini—playfulness, creativity, distraction, and vata management.July 28: Mars enters Virgo—taking grounded, practical action with disciplined focus.I also dive into how Mars and Ketu in Leo have created intense energy that’s finally resolving by the end of the month.Key takeaways:— Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu & Ketu are setting the themes of your life—check the archives for deep dives on each.— Neptune retrograde through the end of the year invites you to discern illusion from intuition.— Saturn retrograde reminds you to refine your emotional regulation, commitments, and boundaries.— Mercury retrograde in Cancer is great for reviewing old journals, healing conversations, and sentimental memories.— Venus in Gemini can bring joyful creativity—but also overwhelm. Focus your attention wisely.— Mars in Virgo is the real reset point—time to organize, prioritize and take action.5 Key Quotes from the Episode:“The sun standing still at the solstice reminds us to pause and realign. Take five minutes of stillness. That alone can be powerful.”“Neptune retrograde is less about escape and more about returning to spiritual clarity. What illusions are you ready to shed?”“You don’t need to do all 15 things on your to-do list—just do the most important one, with full focus.”“The emotional scale is one of the most helpful tools I’ve found. Anger can actually be progress if you’ve been stuck in depression.”“What you really want isn’t the thing—it’s the feeling. The more you nurture that feeling now, the more you align with it.”–Free Weekly Horoscopes & Exclusive offers: http://www.quietmindastrology.com/freehoroscopesFree Vedic Birth Chart & Training: http://www.quietmindastrology.com/freebirthchartInstagram:http://www.instagram.com/quietmindastrologyYouTube:http://www.quietmindastrology.com/youtubeMentorship Waitlist:http://www.quietmindastrology.com/mentorship
On Friday, June 20th, we arrive at the June Solstice, the spiritual energetic midpoint of the year. And just a couple weeks later on July 2nd, we hit the actual calendar middle of 2025. This is a powerful time to pause and reflect—not just on how far you’ve come this year, but on who you’re becoming. It’s been a transformational year already. If you’ve felt that too, you’re not alone. We’ve had major transits of Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu, and Ketu—all the big movers—and I’ve shared in-depth episodes and free guides for each of those. You can find them in the past episodes. For me, 2025 has been a year of deep growth, healing, and expansion. There’s been a lot of yang intensity—Mars and Ketu conjunct from June to July—and that’s shown up globally, and maybe in your own life too. It’s a powerful time, especially if you’ve got a lot of Aries or Scorpio energy in your chart. We started the year with a major wave of Venus in Pisces, beginning January 27th. That exalted Venus energy touched everything from romance to art to spiritual alignment. Then, we had a rare Venus retrograde in Pisces from March 2nd to April 13th—offering a deep review of what we love, what we’re committed to, and what unfinished relational business we might need to clean up.That overlapped with eclipse season in March—including a powerful Lunar Eclipse in Leo on March 13th (identity shifts, ego death, soul expression) and a Solar Eclipse on March 29th, which coincided with Saturn entering Pisces. That was the single biggest day of the year: 7 planets in Pisces! This marked the beginning of a whole new era—a two-and-a-half-year cycle of dissolving old structures and following your intuition more deeply.March through April was full of Pisces energy, including a Mercury retrograde, so a lot of review, reflection, and redefinition was happening. Then in April, the Sun moved into Aries, signaling the start of new beginnings and forward movement. And we’ve been in this yang momentum ever since. Now, as we reach the Solstice—the sun standing still—we pause. This is a sacred window to reflect on what’s changed, what you’ve outgrown, and where you want to go next. Especially with Mars and Ketu still conjunct, and Venus newly in Aries, it’s a time to notice where new beginnings are emerging in relationships and purpose. In this episode, I guide you through 7 self-reflection prompts to help you anchor this midpoint:What were your intentions or theme for the start of 2025?What has actually manifested—and what fell away? What lessons did the March eclipses bring you?Where have you outgrown roles, beliefs, relationships, or identities? What would feel nourishing and supportive in the second half of 2025?How is your body feeling now? What’s alive in your heart as you look back on this year so far?If you want to go deeper, I’m offering limited 1-on-1 astrology readings between now and August before the next Vedic Astrology Mentorship class starts. You can schedule at quietmindastrology.com/readingLooking ahead, here’s a quick preview of what’s coming in the second half of 2025:— July: Mercury retrograde (review communication & business plans)— September: Eclipse season returns (another karmic portal)— October–November: Jupiter dips into Cancer (a beautiful, heart-opening window)— December: End-of-year Solstice + Jupiter goes retrogradeThank you for being here. Free Full Moon Yoga Class: https://www.quietmindastrology.com/june2025Enroll in the Quietmind Yoga Teacher Training https://www.quietmind.yoga/yttIt is June 9th, 2025 and that Yang energy is coming on pretty strong. You feel it? Maybe you’re seeing it in world events. Maybe you’re feeling it in your body or your relationships. Personally, I’ve been riding that Mars and Aries wave with a lot of energy, creativity, and productivity—especially since I’ve got a lot of Aries in my chart. But wherever Mars is in your chart, you’re going to feel it. That’s why I always say: know your birth chart. You can get it free at quietmindastrology.com, and start to understand exactly where these transits are showing up for you. This week, we’re coming off a series of major planetary shifts, and the only major transit now is the Full Moon in Jyeshta Nakshatra in Scorpio on June 10th (technically just past midnight PT). So it’s a powerful moment for completion, culmination, and deep integration. In this episode, I go deep into how to work with this energy—because it’s intense. Scorpio is ruled by Mars, and Mars is conjunct Ketu all through June and July, which adds this edge of heat, volatility, and potential for big transformation or big blowups.Jyeshta energy is great for protection, responsibility, deep research, and spiritual inquiry. It’s the energy of going beyond surface-level distractions to get to the core of things—whether that’s your yoga practice, your relationship dynamics, or the truths you’re uncovering in meditation. And if you’re seeing stuff in the news, or having strong reactions to others, I invite you to pause and ask: What is this showing me about myself? That’s a very Jyeshta question—going into the shadows, not looking away. But there’s a dark side too—manipulation, secrecy, control, infidelity, overindulgence. This isn’t a week to bury your head in the sand. But it’s also not a week to rush into intense conversations either—Mars and Ketu energy can explode if not directed intentionally. Instead, I encourage you to journal, reflect, and take a beat before confronting anything high-stakes. This is not the time for passive energy—it’s time for action, but action with clarity. If you’re feeling extra sensitive—especially around emotions or hormonal shifts—that’s normal too. The Moon in Scorpio brings that deep emotional undercurrent to the surface. So be gentle, but firm. This is a great week for movement, physical activity, deep house cleaning, and focused work. Not so great for escapism, numbing out, or spiritual bypassing. Also! I’m offering a free live Full Moon yoga class on Tuesday, June 10. We’ll do movement, meditation, and reflection to help work with this energy in the body. You’ll find the link to register in the show notes. Come join us—no cost, just an opportunity to channel all this intensity into clarity. And if you’re hearing this before Friday, June 13th, you’ve got just a few days left to join the Quietmind Yoga Teacher Training. This is the 9th time I’m offering it and I’ve gone through and completely revised the whole thing. We go into 108 asanas, essential pranayama, mantra, mudra, functional anatomy, and everything you need to become a confident, skillful teacher—or to deepen your own practice. Free Karmic Nodes Horoscope for your Rising/Moon signs: https://www.quietmindastrology.com/karma2025Every 18 years, Rahu and Ketu return to the Aquarius/Leo axis. And every time, there’s this deep invitation to evolve — to shed the ego-driven patterns that no longer serve, and step into something more authentic, aligned, and future-focused. In this episode, I walk you through exactly what this karmic shift is about from a Vedic astrology perspective — not just the signs and dates, but what it feels like to live through it.Rahu in Aquarius brings this hunger for connection, innovation, and breaking out of the box — but that hunger can also lead to burnout, hyper-individualism, or being pulled into trends that don’t actually align with who we are. And then there’s Ketu in Leo, quietly pulling us back from center stage, helping us release the need to be “the one” — the performer, the leader, the persona we’ve been clinging to.These next 18 months (May 29, 2025 – November 24, 2026) are all about recalibrating that tension between belonging and expression, spotlight and service, recognition and authenticity. This episode covers:- What Rahu and Ketu really mean in your chart — not just intellectually but energetically- Why this transit is a karmic echo of 2006–2008, 1988–1989, and earlier- The deeper invitation to realign with your soul path — without needing to perform or prove anything- How to work with this energy personally and collectively- A free guide you can download with rising/moon sign horoscopesThis is a rare opportunity to step off the stage, shed the layers that feel performative or ego-based, and ask: What’s really calling me forward now? What role is no longer mine to play? It’s not about disappearing. It’s about re-emerging aligned.✨ 5 Key Ideas from the Episode- “This is a cycle of ego death — and not in a scary way, but in a liberating way.”- “Ketu in Leo is asking us to let go of being the main character. You don’t have to perform your dharma. Just live it.”- “Rahu in Aquarius wants innovation, but it can lead us to lose ourselves in the noise of the collective if we’re not grounded.”- “These are the moments when life says: You don’t need to be validated. You need to be aligned.”- “Look at what was happening in your life during 2006–2008. You’re revisiting that karmic thread now — but from a higher level.”🌟 Download the Free Karmic Horoscope PDF:quietmindastrology.com/karma2025Other Resources:Free Vedic Birth Chart & Training: http://www.quietmindastrology.com/freebirthchartFree Weekly Horoscopes & Offers: http://www.quietmindastrology.com/freehoroscopesInstagram: http://www.instagram.com/quietmindastrologyYouTube: http://www.quietmindastrology.com/youtubeMentorship Waitlist: http://www.quietmindastrology.com/mentorshipYoga Teacher Training Podcast: https://www.anchor.fm/yogateachertrainingQuietmind Yoga: https://www.quietmind.yoga

Enrollment is open for one more week to the Quietmind Yoga Teacher Training at https://www.quietmind.yoga/ytt Overview (00:00)In this episode, I share about the rare astrological alignments happening in 2025–2026 and how they haven't happened since 597 BCE, 258 CE, and 1171 CE—times that brought massive cultural and spiritual transformation. I talk about how these past cycles were times of collapse and realignment, where the soul was forced to let go of structures and titles and instead return to truth and purpose. These pivotal times offer us a choice: align with dharma or cling to the drama. I also offer practices for how to navigate this era creatively and spiritually.Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu are creating a significant transit that occurs in approximately 900-year cyclesCompared 2020 transit to the 1373 transit that coincided with the Black PlagueHistorical Patterns and Collapse (01:33 - 04:44)Major theme: 'The soul survives the collapse'597 BC: Babylon Empire took over Jerusalem, destroyed temples, ended monarchy258 CE: Roman Empire fractured, currency collapsed, Christians persecuted1171: English invasion of Ireland, end of Islamic rule, shifts in European power2025: Predicted massive changes in structures and systems due to AISpiritual Realignment (04:44 - 07:44)Historical examples showed spiritual adaptation after systemic collapseJudaism transformed beyond temples to prayer and texts after 597 BCIn 2025, people will need to reevaluate spiritual paths and systemic structuresSaturn in Pisces represents restructuring of spiritual boundariesKetu in Leo represents dissolving of ego and challenging leadershipInnovation Through Pressure (07:44 - 13:28)Historical examples of innovation born from necessity during times of change597 BC: Judaism adapted by compiling teachings into texts258 CE: Christians created underground networks and house churches1171: Reform, trade and resilience evolved under political upheaval2025-2026: Predicted renaissance of creativity and innovation through AI toolsI've already been refining my own teaching materials and have found it super inspiring!️ Dharma vs. Drama (13:28 - 18:16)Central message: Choose alignment (dharma) over drama during times of changeViktor Frankl's book title 'Nevertheless Say Yes to Life' is a great example of this energy.Ego-led rulers historically fell during these transitsStructures built on ego will likely change in 2025-2026Dharmic living (alignment) produces flow and synchronicity, like being in an aligned yoga pose.Adharmic living (misalignment) produces tension and frustration, like being misaligned in a yoga pose. This week, I’m answering a question I get all the time—what do you do with a so-called “bad placement” in astrology? You might have a difficult planetary placement like a debilitation or a tough transit coming up like sade sati and you’ve heard about things like chanting mantras, wearing gemstones, doing rituals, fasting, wearing certain colors, and so on… but what actually works? In this episode, I share what I’ve found to be the most effective Vedic astrology remedies—based not just on the texts and tradition, but on real-world experience doing 1-1 readings and my own personal practice. I’ll walk you through when to use a remedy, how to choose one, and the real reason why some remedies work for one person but not another. Here’s the thing: remedies aren’t about magically fixing your chart. They’re about creating the conditions for the positive expression of a planetary energy to emerge—through intentionality, practice, and personal alignment. You’ll also learn:— Why I don’t recommend gemstone prescriptions unless they feel intuitively aligned— How to choose which graha (planet) to work with— Why behavior and daily action are the most powerful remedies of all— How to use mantras, mudras, yantras, and even your clothes or decor for planetary support— Which remedies are best for mental health, clarity, grounding, and emotional healing— How yoga is one of the most accessible and empowering remedy systems there is— A simple approach to trying remedies out: give it a week, see what shifts, and go from thereI also share some of my own personal stories about things I’ve tried that didn’t work, what I’ve found most grounding, and why intuition is the key ingredient in every remedy—because what works for you might be totally different than what works for someone else. And if you want to learn the exact yoga practices I use for each graha, I made a free downloadable PDF that goes with this episode—The Quietmind Astrology Guide to Remedies. You can grab it below. At the end of the episode, I also invite you to my free live workshop: Become Your Own Yoga Teacher. This is the perfect way to work with remedies through your body. It’s totally free to join. Details below 👇Quotes from the episode: “The chart is just a map of potential. Remedies are about shifting how that potential expresses itself.”“You might wear the perfect stone, chant the perfect mantra—but if your actions are out of alignment, it won’t work.”“Yoga is a remedy. It’s a way to move energy, to shift patterns, and return to your center.”“You don’t have to believe in any of this for it to work. You just need to be curious, and try.”“What we call a ‘bad chart’ is just a misunderstood one. This episode has free bonus horoscopes for all 12 signs at https://www.quietmindastrology.com/jupiteringeminiThis episode is all about Jupiter in Gemini, one of the most significant transits of 2025. On May 14, Jupiter begins its journey through Gemini for the first time in 12 years—bringing a wave of creative, curious, playful, and sometimes chaotic energy into our lives. If you’re already feeling it, you’re not alone. I’ve been noticing it myself too, and in this episode, I’ll help you understand what’s really going on here and how to work with it in a healthy, aligned way.I created a free sign-by-sign guide to help you see exactly where this transit activates growth in your chart. You can get that right now at:👉 quietmindastrology.com/jupiteringeminiI start this episode by looking back at the last times Jupiter was in Gemini—1989, 2001, and 2013. What were you going through then? What themes are resurfacing now? For me, the 2013–2014 period was one of the biggest growth spurts of my life. I have Moon and Ascendant in Gemini, so this transit is hitting home for me—and maybe it is for you too.Jupiter is the Guru, the one who brings light into darkness. It’s called the Great Benefic, and it protects life on Earth, both astrologically and astronomically. I share how this shows up not just in your chart but in the physics of our solar system—pulling in comets and asteroids before they ever reach Earth. That same protective pull can be felt in your life this year too, if you learn how to listen to it.Gemini is ruled by Mercury—Buddhi, or intellect. So Jupiter in Gemini brings up the friction between logic and intuition, intellect and inner knowing. You might find yourself questioning your gut feelings more than usual, second-guessing intuitive decisions, or even swinging between impulsiveness and overthinking. This can be incredibly frustrating—but also an opportunity to grow.As I share in this episode, one of the best ways to work with this energy is to heal your relationship with your inner child. I talk about the book Inner Bonding and how that work helped me understand when my inner child was driving the bus—and how to respond with compassion instead of control. Jupiter is the wise elder. Gemini is the curious child. This year, those two parts of you are going to be in deep conversation. What will they say to each other? We also cover:How to tap into the Air element for spiritual inspirationWhy Gemini is considered a dual sign and what that means for transformationWhat to expect during Jupiter’s brief dip into Cancer from Oct 18 – Dec 5, 2025Why this time is ideal for reading spiritual texts, studying philosophy, or picking up playful new skillsHow this cycle can trigger old wounds around approval, play, and emotional safety—and what to do about itI also give some real-life, grounded examples: like how I’m re-reading Autobiography of a Yogi and finding it finally resonates (after years of not quite connecting with it). Jupiter in Gemini is like that—what once confused or annoyed you may now come alive with meaning. One of the most useful frameworks I share is how each planet has a royal role. Jupiter is the advisor. And this year, the advisor is answering to Mercury—the prince, the youthful mind. That means we’re being advised through play, humor, wit, and even chaos.
