Are you exhausted? Do you find yourself fatigued even after a good night’s sleep? Are you twisting yourself into knots trying to stay on top of and keep up with everything? If so, you might be living beyond human pace and human scale. For hundreds of thousands of years our species lived as hunter-gatherers, living a human-paced life. Today, we live at break-neck speed, and in a constant state of over-consumption of information. We are not wired for this incessant processing of content and stimulation. It’s no wonder we’re exhausted! In today’s episode, we’ll talk about how to slow down, how to mono-task, and how to reconnect with the simple joys of life at human pace. This is powerful magic! At times it feels like we’re living in a moment of overwhelming dissension; a time where many are choosing greed and hate over generosity and love. But is that the whole story? This past weekend, we saw millions of people rise up across America. We even watched supporters in other nations join the cause. This fierce illustration of resistance was fueled not only be outrage, but also by love and hope; hope for a more just and compassionate future for all. This is the hope that we need to hold onto. Darkness may be present, but so is light. As we sink deeper into our spiritual practices, let us be reminded of the energy we bring to each and every moment. Together, may we become the light we wish to see in the world. What am I reading? What does it mean to be feminine? What does it mean to be masculine? More importantly, what does it look like to be connected with our divine masculine and feminine? These polarities are present in all of us; sometimes we display balanced energy and other times we are completely out of whack. In order to address an unbalanced energy, we must first know what balance looks like. Sacred masculine energy looks nothing like the toxic masculinity we’ve come to recognize in patriarchal society. Similarly, sacred feminine energy is in direct opposition to the clinging, desperate energy we see in the unbalanced feminine. As we wander through the woods on this misty afternoon, get in touch with the energy within you, it’s time to meet the sacred!
