This episode is Dating Daze Book Club. We discuss the book "Marry Him: The Case for Settling for Mr Good Enough". But it's really not about "settling" it's about being realistic about your expectations, and being honest about who you are and what you bring to a relationship, as well as acknowledging that your Mr. Perfect doesn't exist and if he did he's probably already married, and wouldn't even make a good husband/father/partner that would bring you happiness in a relationship. Nicole Drew was dating a guy and loaned him some money because of a sob story and then he disappeared. Turns out it wasn't the first time he did it. Nicole thought about it and decided to develop and launch a new dating app that helps prevent scams, fake profiles, AI, your date being a criminal and other protections from online dating issues. The Wrap-Up for dating in 2023. Since Spotify and even some senior citizens on Instagram were doing the summary of their dating for 2023, we did one for us. Give a listen on our experiences for the year. 

Mindy and our friend Rebecca decided to experiment with expanding their social circle to increase the possibility of meeting new friends and maybe meeting a man for a relationship organically (not on a dating app). Even if it doesn't find a relationship you can make new friends and enrich your life. It seems like for Rebecca it worked...at least for now...haha! Let's hear what they found out.

Jeff has a bad date experience and wants to talk about it. He tells Mindy it's a Chairlift Confession which typically is a really bad date story spanning states or potentially bodily harm and jail...but alas Jeff is just dazed and confused once again by dating in the current times. Which is why he started the podcast. His date with a local comedian was doomed from the start and then the comedian disses him and is basicallly disrespectful and callous. Jeff is hurt.
