A healing conversation with three strong, willing, dedicated, and powerful souls who are living in peace by utilizing the Racing for Recovery Lifestyles in their own productive ways.
Todd talks with Joey Roberts - a former Racing for Recovery client and current employee - about his mindset going into recovery when he knew with 100% certainty that he was ready to improve his life and reach a new level of physical, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual growth. He avoided the "drama" of treatment and simply did the work of self enhancement. He is now an amazing asset to the Racing for Recovery staff, is a fully present father, licensed physical trainer, and has a strong faith in God. Todd reflects on how proud he is of Joey, and the honor and privilege of watching him shine.
Racing for Recovery's Case Management Supervisor Shane Metternick has a wide ranging conversation with Todd about how to work the program the right way, regaining the trust of family, the dangers of unchecked confidence, and how he started his path to becoming an IRONMAN.
Shane Ramer from the "That Sober Guy Podcast" talks to Todd about embracing the joys of family healing, being of service to others, and the benefits of living a balanced and holistic lifestyle.
The new Racing for Recovery Podcast starts off strong with Joe, who is absolutely killing it so far in sobriety. He received services with us at Racing for Recovery and utilized them to sustain sobriety for over two years while simultaneously healing from trauma in order to implement and enjoy a balanced holistic lifestyle. He has regained relationships with his children and has improved his mental, physical, and emotional health all while being gainfully employed.
Topics featured in this episode include the impact of trauma, developing self-worth, utilizing effective peer support, rebuilding family relationships, and living our true life's purpose.
